PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper container excellent in adiabatic property in which high foamability can be obtained without heightening weighing. SOLUTION: A material sheet used for an adiabatic paper container comprises a thermoplastic resin layer formed at least on one surface of a paper material, and the paper material contains a chlorine compound of an alkaline metal or an alkaline earth metal in an amount of 0.3-0.6 g/m2.
