PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an activity meter capable of calculating the accurate amount of activity. SOLUTION: The activity meter includes: an acceleration detection means 1 to be mounted on a human body for detecting the acceleration in a gravity direction and a horizontal direction; an action scene judgement means 2 for judging the action scene of a person on the basis of the acceleration obtained by the acceleration detection means 1; and an activity amount calculation means 3 for calculating the amount of the activity from the acceleration obtained by the acceleration detection means 1 on the basis of a judged result by the action scene judgement means 2. The action scene judgement means 2 is configured to judge the action scene of the person on the basis of the ratio of the acceleration in the gravity direction and the acceleration in the horizontal direction obtained by the acceleration detection means 1 and a norm for which the respective accelerations obtained by the acceleration detection means 1 are vector components.
