A method for multiplexing and de-multiplexing the low bit rate service is provided. The method includes the following steps: dividing the OTN frame into several slots, allocating the slots to the low bit rate service according to the bit rate of the low bit rate service; if the low bit rate service is synchronization service, then mapping it asynchronously to the slots allocated for it; otherwise mapping it to the slots allocated for it after encapsulating process. A multiplexing apparatus includes slots dividing and allocating module and mapping module. A de-multiplexing apparatus for low bit rate service includes: overhead parsing module, synchronization service restoring module, data service restoring module, unknown type service restoring module. Said de-multiplexing method and apparatus apply different processes for low bit rate services of different types according to the multiplexing process of the low bit rate service, to achieve corresponding service. The present invention enables the OTN to bear the low bit rate service and enables the multiplexing and de-multiplexing of the mixed service. |
