The method involves inserting a sharpening region (5) in a leather layer (2), and inserting a cut (6) in the sharpening region that is manufactured in advance to the sharpening region. The cut is partially applied outside the sharpening region, where the cut is formed as a blind hole. The cut is inserted into the leather layer by a water jet or a laser beam. An intermediate layer is arranged between the leather layer and a decoration carrier, and a thickness of the leather layer in the sharpening range amounts to between 0.15 to 0.3 millimeters. |
