This screw connection is, for example, part of a protective-earth conductor terminal block (1) in which a screw-terminal connection (2) is connected to the protective-earth conductor. The screw connection comprises a metallic opposing bearing piece (5) on which a clamping bracket (6) is arranged in a moving manner which is provided on both sides with hook-shaped lugs (7) which engage under the opposing bearing piece (5) and the limbs of the top-hat section DIN rail (4). Oblique edges (10) which act in a centring manner on the outer edges of the top-hat section DIN rail limbs are provided on the inner curves of the two hook-shaped lugs (7). If a setting screw (8), which is inserted through the opposing bearing piece (5) as well as through the clamping bracket (6) and seats a counterpiece (9) on the underneath side of the clamping bracket (6), is now tightened, these oblique edges (10) always centre the screw connection satisfactorily on the top-hat section DIN rail (4) in the case of the external width, which is identical for all types of top-hat section DIN rails, irrespective of the widths that are pulled through being different. <IMAGE>
