The floor cleaning mop enables the user's hands to remain out of the water in which the mop is being used. The mop has fringing of absorbent material or about twenty centimetres length which is attached to a circular piece of about seven centimetres in diameter. A plastic or metal sieve is funnel shaped and is positioned in the middle of an elongated section in which are three grooves along the underneath for fixing it onto a bucket. The elongated section covers roughly one third of the bucket opening. The diameter of the sieve is roughly twelve centimetres.
