A communication apparatus according to the present invention is for use in a radio communication system having plural communication channels on a frequency domain. The communication apparatus includes an ACK/NACK generating unit (23) that generates an ACK or a NACK based on a result of decoding of a received signal; a quality-information organizing unit (22) that accumulates a channel quality obtained by a predetermined measuring process, of each of the communication channels, and outputs a CQI in timing of an ACK or an NACK output by the ACK/NACK generating unit (23); and a transmitting unit (signal multiplexing unit (24) and modulating/transmitting unit (25)) that receives a CQI from the quality-information organizing unit (22) and receives an ACK or an NACK from the ACK/NACK generating unit (23), and transmits the CQI and the ACK or the NACK through same communication channel.
