<p>An internal combustion engine (20) equipped with a turbocharger (24, 25) and having a coolant circuit (10) is provided with a humidifying device for humidifying intake air of the internal combustion engine. A heat exchanger (31), which is connected to a liquid circuit (32) and which serves to pre-heat the intake air, is situated, in the direction of flow of the intake air, upstream from the humidifying device (28). The coolant circuit (10) of the internal combustion engine (1) is integrated in said liquid circuit. The heat exchanger (31) serving to pre-heat the intake air is flowed through by the coolant of the internal combustion engine (20) while cooling the engine.</p> |
