摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam machining device and laser beam machining method which permit the simple constitution of a detector and inexpensive manufacturing, is capable of surely detecting even a slight change in the sheet-metal gage of a work and is capable of exactly machining the machined sections of a blind hole form in the state of assuring a prescribed residual stock removal sheet-metal gage. SOLUTION: While a laser beam irradiation nozzle 14 and the work 12 are relatively moved, the work 12 is intermittently irradiated with a laser beam from the laser beam irradiation nozzle 14, by which the machined sections 12a of a blind hole form are machined at every prescribed interval. In machining the work 12, the electrostatic capacity between a supporting member 11 consisting of a conductor and the laser beam irradiation nozzle 14 is detected by an electrostatic capacity detector 19 in the state of supporting the work 12 on the supporting member 11. The number of the output pulses of the laser beam from the laser beam irradiation nozzle 14 is changed every time one machined section 12a is machined by a controller 16 in accordance with the result of the detection by accompanying a change in the work thickness, by which irradiation output is controlled.</p>
