<p>A pattern book consisting of separate leaves held together by clips of rigid PVC, from which they can easily be detached has the clips joined to each other by strips terminating at their ends away from the back of the book, in a hinge of soft PVC, so that the clips fold together accordion fashion. At their other ends the strips are attached inseparably, on the one hand to the leg projecting from the half hinge plates of the clip of which the strip forms a part, and on the other hand to the half hinge plates of the next clip. A spindle is threaded through adjacent half hinge plates which may be arranged either remotely from the leaves or remotely from the back of the book. There are no detachable pieces to form the accordion hinges, etc. so that pieces cannot be mislaid and be unavailable when it is desired to add more patterns to the book.</p> |
