A communications connection is established between the interactive information device (2) and a mobile communications device (20), and data relating to the displayed information transmitted from the interactive information device (2) to the mobile communications device (20) and/or from the mobile communications device (20) to the interactive information device (2). In a further method, a tag device detects the presence of a mobile communications device (20), and transmits data stored therein to the mobile communications device (20) or the interactive information device(2).
