The device has at least one signal input 2, a data store 8 and an arithmetic unit 5 connected to the signal input(s) and the data store wherein the arithmetic unit is configured such that at defined or definable time intervals it stores in the data store continuously as measured values signals incoming from the input signals following analogue-digital conversion of each signal by analogue-digital converter. The unit 5 is operable selectively in plural modes, one being an act-operating mode (operated by a key7a) wherein storage occurs of a selection of signals (e.g. every nth signal in a sequence) defined by a pre-settable time interval, another being a min-max operating mode (operated by a key 7m) wherein storage occurs of the lowest and highest measured values of a pre-settable group of successive measured values of incoming signals. These modes aid in maximizing data held in the store 8. The device is a pressure and/or temperature and/or flow rate and/or rotation sensor. |
