A modular tube fly system for the construction of artificial flies of the type used by anglers in the pursuit of predatory fish. The system allows an angler or fly tier to employ a tube fly of a preferred pattern and alter its weight, colour, and style by adding or removing various components. The components may be joined or un-joined by means of threaded, push-fit or other interlocking joints. The tubes allow the fishing line to be passed through the length of the body and a suitable hook secured at the end of the fly. The tube system may also include a component to hold the fly for the purpose of dressing or tying. |
