METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RECEIVING/TRANSMITTING DATA IN ORTHOGONAL FREQUENCY DIVISION MULTIPLEXING SYSTEM

A method and an apparatus for receiving and transmitting data in an OFDMA(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) system are provided to prevent the power of OFDM symbols from exceeding a threshold value by performing different resource puncturing on different RBs. A reference symbol signal generator generates a reference symbol signal for estimating channel conditions. A controller(701) determines at least one RB(Resource Block) for a resource puncturing and the resource puncturing pattern from plural resource blocks, so that power allocation to the resource blocks is adjusted to guarantee that the allocated power does not exceed a limit value. A control channel signal generator(703) generates a control signal representing the determined resource puncturing pattern and the resource block. A data channel signal generator(705) generates the data signal and allocates the data signal in a frequency resource according to the resource puncturing pattern. A transmission processor(711) multiplexes the control signal with the data signal and transmits the multiplexed result to a terminal. The resource pattern represents the positions of the frequency resources which are not used for transmitting data.
