<p>The toy locomotive has a main body (12,14) supported on wheels (41,42,43), one of which is driven by an electric motor via a variable-speed drive with a friction drive disc and a take-off wheel engageable at various locations. The locomotive has a control lever (32) for engaging and disengaging the drive mechanism and a lever (38) for controlling the speed of the locomotive. The locomotive may also include an imitation fire box, a bell, steam whistle and a steam-sound simulator and further control levers for these functions.</p> |
