<p>The label (10) has a radio frequency identification (RFID)-chip (12), in which data for identification of the chip and/or data for identification of items is stored. An optical data carrier (22) is connected with the RFID chip in a non-destructive and non-detachable manner. Optically readable information is stored on the data carrier. The optically readable information contains a part of data that is stored on the chip in a predetermined coded form. The optically readable information contains a program, with which predetermined instructions are executable in an authorized reader. An independent claim is also included for a device for authenticating an authenticatable label.</p> |
