PURPOSE:To extinguish foam pattern on the surface of a foamed plastic sheet by a method wherein a pair of belt conveyors having an interval nearly equal to the thickness of an extruded sheet are arranged near the outlet of a mold and is allowed to run in synchronization with the extruding speed. CONSTITUTION:A pair of heat-resisting rubber conveyor belts 4, 5 are arranged near the outlet of a mold 1, the opposite running part is let to run at a speed equal to or slightly larger than the extruding speed and the interval between the opposite running parts is let to be equal to or slightly smaller than the thickness of the extrusion molded sheet. The surface of the sheet is cooled gradually by the belts 4, 5, the foam pattern is extinguished and a surface Sa of high lustre is obtained. In order to provide portions where foam pattern is not extinguished, a metal plate 6 with a shape equal to this foam pattern shape is provided on the surface of the belt in the same pattern as the arrangement pattern of the portions where foam pattern is not extinguished. |
