<p>The work centre (1) includes: a fixed vertical upright (5) along which a saddle (9), bearing a work head (11) with a first (C) and a second (A) numeric control oscillation or rotation axis, is movable according to a first vertical numeric control translation axis (Z); and a piece-carrying saddle (23), provided with a blocking means (25) for the pieces to work (P), supported mobile along a second numeric control translation axis (X) on a carriage(19), said carriage(19) being in turn mobile along a third horizontal numeric control translation axis (Y), to move towards and away from said vertical upright (5). The first axis of oscillation (C) of the work head (11) is vertical, parallel to the first translation axis(Z). Furthermore, the blocking means (25) is designed and arranged to block long pieces with an orientation substantially parallel to said second translation axis (X) along which said piece-carrying saddle (23) moves in relation to the carriage (19) which carries it.</p> |
