PURPOSE:To provide a heat sensitive recording material which does not deteriorate in a decoloring resistance upon mixture of a heat sensitive coloring layer containing leuco body and acidic substance and a coating layer containing water soluble high molecular compound and waterproof agent crosslinking to react with the water soluble compound by sequentially forming the coloring layer and the coating layer on a support. CONSTITUTION:A heat sensitive coloring layer containing as coloring ingredients colorless or pale leuco body (such as, for example, triphenylmethane series, fluorane series or the like) and acidic substance coloring upon thermal reaction with the leuco body (such as, for example, bis-phenol A or the like), and a coating layer containing in addition to water soluble high molecular compound (for sxample, PVA or the like), preferably 20-50wt% of hydrophobic high molecular compound (for example, styrene-butadiene rubber or the like) and preferably 5-50wt% of waterproof agent capable of being crosslinked by reaction with the water soluble high molecular compound (for example, melamine resin or the like) in more than one type are sequentially formed on a support. When the waterproof agent is used, it is preferred to add crosslinking reaction accelerator (for example, NH4Cl or the like). |
