PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CO2 sensor capable of operating nearby room temperature by providing a first electrode on one face of a fluorine ion conductor made of PbSnF4, and providing an auxiliary phase containing metal carbonate and a second electrode on the other face. SOLUTION: A little quantity of HF water solution is added to SnF2 water solution, and solution dissolving Pb(NO3)2 in a solvent of water solution of methanol 40 vol.% is dropped therein, and PbSnF4 is sedimented. This sediment is filtered, washed, and dried, and obtained powder is pressingly formed into a disc form. This PbSnF4 disc 4 is fluorine ion conductive solid electrolyte, a reference electrode 6 and a detecting electrode 8 are made of precious metals such as Au paste, and an auxiliary phase 10 contains metal carbonate. Au net 12 is buried in the reference electrode 6 and the detecting electrode 8, and a pair of Au leads 14 are fixed to them. Because the heat resisting temperature of PbSnF4 is low, the paste used for forming the reference electrode 6 and the detecting electrode 8 is dried up to about 50-80 deg.C, and not baked. |
