<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the ionic conductivity of a nonaqueous electrolyte and suppress gas evolution inside a battery in a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator interposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, and the nonaqueous electrolyte, and the nonaqueous electrolyte comprises a nonaqueous solvent and a solute dissolved in the nonaqueous solvent. The nonaqueous solvent contains (a) ethylene carbonate, (b) chain carbonate, (c) cyclic carbonate having at least one carbon-carbon unsaturated bond, and (d) a nitrile compound. When the total of the ethylene carbonate(a) and the chain carbonate (b) is 100 pts.wt., the mixing amount of the cyclic carbonate (c) is 0.5-5 pts.wt., the mixing amount of the nitrile compound (d) is 1-10 pts.wt., and a mixing ratio of (a):(b) is 15:85 to 85:15 in a volume ratio. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
