PURPOSE:To improve the initial compatibility of a metallic traveler with a ring and prevent the yarn breakage, traveler burn, etc., by forming a coating layer, e.g. a synthetic resin, a metallic plating layer containing molybdenum disulfide, etc. on the inner surface of the metallic traveler in contact with the ring. CONSTITUTION:A coating layer 3, e.g. a synthetic resin layer such as a polyamide resin or fluororesin containing 65% molybdenum disulfide or a metallic plating layer containing dispersed molybdenum disulfide, is formed on at least the inner surface 2 of a metallic traveler 1 to be in contact with a ring. EFFECT:The friction resistance between the metallic traveler and the ring can be reduced with a greatly prolonged life of the traveler. |
