PURPOSE:To reduce the cost and to increase high frequency characteristics, by using a high permeability substance with different saturated magnetic flux density for a center core and a side core. CONSTITUTION:A center core 8 is made of ferrite with comparatively higher saturated magnetic flux density and >=5000G saturated magnetic flux density, and side cores 9a, 9b are made of a ferrite with lower saturated magnetic flux density and <=5000G the saturated magnetic flux density. The center core 8 is wound with a coil 12 via a coil bobbin 11, and magnetic gaps 10a, 10b are formed by butting almost channel shape side cores 9a, 9b at both the sides. The magnetic head does not almost lower the level of information recorded on a magnetic tape with a nonerasing state and can make sufficiently erase to a magnetic tape with 1000o e of coercive force HC such as a metal tape, at an erasing state. |
