A bag, such as a student's bag, has a closable top, a front panel and a rear panel. The front and rear panels have respective top, side and bottom edges and are joined directly to each other or via an intervening gusset along these side and bottom edges. Either the front or the rear panel consists of a window panel 13, at least a major portion of which comprises a transparent window 13. A divider divides the interior of the bag into a first major compartment accessible via the top and a second compartment confronting the window and visible through it. Access to the second compartment is from the interior of the bag. A timetable or organizer sized to correspond to the window can be inserted into the second compartment from the interior of the bag to be constantly visible through the window without opening the bag. The bag has a carrying means selected from at least one handle and at least one strap. |
