HOST STRAINS FOR HETEROLOGOUS EXPRESSION, AND METHOD FOR USING THE STRAINS

A host strain with a system for expressing heterologous genes is provided to be used for expressing the heterologous genes conveniently in a host and be applicable to screen easily effective genes from the heterologous genes. A host strain for heterologous expression comprises a sigma factor gene of a heterologous cell and is characterized in that the activity of a sigma factor of the host strain is controlled in accordance with culturing conditions. A method for expressing genes of the heterologous cell comprises the steps of: (a) introducing genes of the heterologous cell into the host strain; (b) culturing the heterologous cell introduced host under the conditions of activating the sigma factor of the host strain; and (c) culturing the heterologous cell introduced host under the conditions of inhibiting the activity of the sigma factor of the host strain.
