A shutoff apparatus for a low pressure pipe is provided to close a pipe to prevent gas from leaking out of the pipe by sealing the inside of the pipe with a cover extended and contracted by a moving member. A shutoff apparatus for a low pressure pipe comprises an elastic body(104), a cover(110), a fixed member(130), a moving member(120). The elastic body has a plurality of elastic wires(101) in a ball shape. The cover surrounds the elastic body. The fixed member is fixed to the cover and provided with a guide hole therein. The moving member has a front part fixed to a front part of the elastic body and a rear part moving back and forth along the guide hole, thereby extending and contracting the cover.
