A liquid crystal composition having a nematic phase and including a compound represented by Formula (1), a compound represented by Formulas (2-1) and (2-2), and a compound represented by Formulas (3-1), (3-2) and (3-3), and a liquid crystal display device including the composition: wherein, for example, R¹ is alkenyl having approximately 2 to approximately 12 carbons; R², R³, R⁴, R⁵ and R⁶ are alkyl having approximately 1 to approximately 12 carbons; Y¹ and Y² are fluorine; X¹ and X⁵ are hydrogen; and X², X³ and X⁴ are hydrogen or fluorine, provided that at least one of X², X³ and X⁴ is fluorine.
