摘要 <p>Detection coils (15p, 15q) detect a change in magnetic reluctance between each window (23a) of a cylindrical member (23) made of a non-magnetic material and an output shaft (2) made of a magnetic material, and steering torque is detected by detecting the change in magnetic reluctance as a change in the inductance of detection coils (15p, 15q). Coil yokes (16P, 16Q) are coaxially and rotatably disposed on the outer periphery of the cylindrical member (23), and the L-shaped forward ends of output terminals (15a1, 15a2) are inserted in through-holes (18). The construction facilitates assembly of the detection coils into a gear box and enables the forward ends of the output terminals to be accurately arranged. The forward ends of the output terminals are on the inside of the movement paths of the outer periphery of terminal holding parts (16P1, 16Q1), so that interference of the output terminals with other parts is prevented. Further, because an output terminal (215a) of a detection coil (215) is formed vertical to the through-holes (18), the detection coil can be easily and directly connected to a control module, so that the gear box can be disposed in an engine room with high space efficiency. The output terminal (215a) uses a round pin, and the forward end of the terminal is processed by a bending punch and a die.</p>
