The invented system for supplying the electric motor of a vehicle or device with a hybrid internal combustion/electrical drive, is characterised by equipping the exhaust system (2) which evacuates the exhaust gas stream from the internal combustion engine (1) with a closed circuit steam power plant using an organic working fluid (4) which generates the electric current (8) to power up the electric motor (7), which is connected to the power plant via the generator (6), where the exhaust stream constitutes the upper heat source for the steam power plant. The invented method is characterised by a steam power plant with an organic working fluid connected to the stream of exhaust from the internal combustion engine, using the heat of exhaust as the upper source supplying the steam power plant, while the electric current generated in the power plant is used to supply the electric motor or a battery.
