A device and a method for designing a press mold, and a storage medium thereof are provided to remarkably reduce time/effort needed for designing the press mold by automatically generating design information for the press mold for pressing materials into a product, and change the press mold easily by changing a structure of the press mold or a position/number of parts depending on selection of a designer. A device includes a memory(302) for storing die layout information and press/design specification information, a display device(304), a user interface unit(306), and an external interface unit(308) and a control module(300). The control module generates basic graphic design information having a 3D(Dimensional) structure corresponding to a size of upper, lower, and blank holders forming a press mold by determining the size of each holder based on the die layout information, and modifies a die face of the upper/blank holder by corresponding to shape information stored in the die layout information. The control module generates graphic design information of the press mold by modifying the basic graphic design information based on the press specification information and adding related information read from the design specification information to the modified graphic design information.
