#CMT# #/CMT# The mechanism has sliding joints including lower fractions fixed on a passenger compartment, and upper fractions fixed on a console of a vehicle. The lower fractions are carried by a single base plate (4), and the upper fractions are carried by a single support plate. The base plate comprises vertical legs to receive guide rail slippers (300A, 300B, 300C, 300D) in support on an inner surface of edges of the support plate. A locking unit e.g. spring, locks the support plate with respect to the base plate. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Displacement mechanism for displacing a console that is used to provide a support for front arms of front seat and to form housing for a telephone, from front to back or vice versa in a vehicle. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The displacement mechanism provides convenient to translate the console from front to back or vice versa. The guide rail slippers are placed on an inner surface of the edges of the support plate, thus ensuring the better stability of the console. The mechanism has reduced encumbrance. The flexible surfaces of the slippers on the surface of the support plate, thus avoiding vibration of the mechanism.
