RESIN COMPOSITION, MOLDED ARTICLE AND THEIR PRODUCTION METHODS

Disclosed is a molded article which is excellent in heat resistance, mechanical characteristics, hydrolysis resistance and chemical resistance. Also disclosed is a resin composition containing a polylactic acid which can be a raw material for such a molded article. Specifically disclosed is a resin composition containing a polylactic acid which is characterized as follows: (i) the polylactic acid is composed of poly-L-lactic acid (component B-1) and poly-D-lactic acid (component B-4); (ii) the weight ratio between the component B-1 and the component B-4 (component B-1/component B-4) is within the range from 10/90 to 90/10; and (iii) the ratio of the melting peak not less than 195°C is not less than 20% in the overall melting peak in the temperature-rising process as measured by a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). Also disclosed are a molded article of such a resin composition and respective methods for producing such resin composition and molded article.
