A method for preparing salted mackerel by using salt produced from deep sea water and the deep sea water is provided to enhance the sanitary property and taste of salted mackerel. A method for preparing salted mackerel by using deep sea water and salt produced from the deep sea water comprises the steps of: adjusting the Baume degree of deep sea water(200m deep or below) to 5~12°Be, and adding a plant extract to the deep sea water to obtain a mixed solution; soaking pretreated mackerel in the mixed solution; applying a constant voltage of 3000~5000 volt to the soaked mackerel for 2~10 hours; naturally drying the wet-salted mackerel; mixing non-reducing sugar to salt produced from concentrated deep sea water, and dry-salting the dried mackerel with the mixed salt; and aging and sterilizing the dry-salted mackerel.
