FIELD: transportation. ^ SUBSTANCE: rail lifter contains frame with wheels and support. On frame crossmember carriage is located which is capable to travel along the crossmemeber. The carriage has manual chain hoist, the drive of which contains actuating handle, ratchet-wheel gear and reduction gear. Rail gripper consists of two half-grippers. Rail lifter is equipped with gear-chain mechanism for carriage moving. This mechanism is mounted on frame crossmember and has actuating handle at the end of crossmember. On the opposite side of this crossmember end actuating handle of hoist is mounted. Hoist's drive is located at the same end of crossmember. At that, sprockets of manual chain hoist are additionally installed on the crossmember and on the carriage. ^ EFFECT: increase of operation efficiency and safety; improvement of serviceability and widening of processing capabilities of rail lifter. ^ 4 cl, 8 dwg
