PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an apparatus and method for measuring an angle which contributes to confidentiality detection performance without influencing circumferential environments to be observed and reduction in size and weight of the whole apparatus, and further dispenses with attachment of external components causing a variation in reception signals among respective element antennas. SOLUTION: The apparatus is equipped with: a plurality of element antennas 1a-1e for receiving radio waves radiated from an radio wave radiation source; a receiving element selection part 2 for outputting the received signal of the element antenna selected among the plurality of element antennas 1a-1e; a plurality of receivers 3a and 3b for amplifying the received signal from the selection part 2, converting it into intermediate frequency, suppressing an unnecessary frequency band signal and converting into a digital signal; and a signal processing part 4 for estimating an arrival direction of an incident angle from the radio wave radiation source by signal processing based on the signal picked up by the plurality of receivers 3a and 3b, thereby using fewer receivers than the reception antennas.
