PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake control device for an internal combustion engine capable of accurately judging abnormality of an intake air flow control valve even under low speed and light load operation conditions, and inhibiting increase of cost. SOLUTION: This device is provided with the intake air flow control valve provided in an intake passage of the internal combustion engine and controlling flow of intake air flowing in a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine by opening and closing the intake passage, a forcible operation instruction means issuing instruction of forcible operation to the intake air flow control valve under a predetermined operation conditions, an operation information detection means detecting operation information of the internal combustion engine, and an abnormality judging means judging abnormality of the intake air flow control valve based on change of operation information due to forcible operation.
