PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of damage caused by the flowing down of a molten metal flow in case of power failure generation. SOLUTION: A steel sheet S is introduced into a channel 112 through a deflector roll 122 in an introduction chamber 120, and moves from the lower part to the upper part in a body vessel 111. At this time, a molten metal M sticks to the steel sheet S, and plating is performed. Upon an ordinary operation, a recovery guide plate 141 is retreated from a position directly below the channel 112. When a power failure is generated, the recovery guide plate 141 is rolled by a rolling mechanism 142, and is obliquely arranged directly below the channel 112. In this way, the molten metal M made to flow out from the channel 112 by the power failure flows over the recovery guide plate 141, and is recovered to a recovery tank 143. Thus, the phenomenon that the molten metal M made to flow down is splashed on the deflector roll 122 can be prevented, and, after the recovery of the power failure, it can be swiftly returned to an ordinary operation.
