PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric shaver having an outer blade that covers an inner blade reciprocating horizontally, in which a fixed plate is easily mounted so as to uniformly press an outer peripheral edge of a waterproofing seal member and so as not to interfere with movement of a reciprocating shaft having the inner blade attached. SOLUTION: The reciprocating shaft 70 is arranged in a body case 1 by inserting through a window 66 of the fixed plate 65. An window rim of the window covers the outer peripheral edge of the seal member 6. An engaging pawl 60 is provided on the outer peripheral edge of the fixed plate 65.
