PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric bush cutter in which the number of revolutions of a reaping blade reaches a commonly-used zone soon after switching on an electric motor and can efficiently be controlled in the commonly-used zone. SOLUTION: In the electric bush cutter having an electric motor rotating a reaping blade through a centrifugal clutch and operation means for controlling number of revolutions, capable of controlling the number of revolutions of the electric motor according to operation amount, the ratio of an amount in which the number of revolutions of the electric motor continuously changes to the operation amount of the operation means are each set in a start-up area containing a range of number of revolutions from stopped state of the electric motor to tightening of a centrifugal clutch, a commonly-used area corresponding to the range of number of revolutions suitable for bush clearing operation by the electric bush cutter and a transition area corresponding to the range of number of revolutions of the electric motor from the start-up area to the commonly-used area, and changing ratio of number of revolutions to operation of the operation means in the transition area is larger than those of the start-up area and the commonly-used area.
