PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost for a culture process and to reduce the load on the surrounding environment by reutilizing the medium used for the culture of a microorganism biomass. SOLUTION: The liquid medium used for the first culture can be reutilized as the liquid medium usable for the second and subsequent cultures of the microorganism biomass by adding an ion exchange resin to the first liquid medium in which the microorganism biomass containing a polyhydroxybutyric acid is cultured to separate and remove an organic acid formed in the first liquid medium, re-regulating the composition and the pH so as to be used as the second liquid medium, and subjecting the resultant second liquid medium to sterilizing treatment.
