PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the whole length of a machine body and a paddy implement when the paddy implement is liftably and lowerably supported at the rear of the machine body in the paddy working machine. SOLUTION: The paddy working machine is obtained by liftably and lowerably supporting a grounding body 9 on the lower side of a supporting frame 18 arranged in the right and left directions in the paddy implement and installing a detecting part 51 on the upper side of the supporting frame 18. A linking member 45 passing through the supporting frame 18 in the vertical directions and movably supported in the vertical directions is installed to connect the lower part of the linking member 45 to the grounding body 9 and the upper part of the linking member 45 is connected to the detecting part 51. A lifting and lowering control means for operating a lifting and lowering mechanism is installed so as to maintain the paddy implement at the set height from the paddy surface based on the detection with the detecting part 51.
