The method involves determining a geographical location of a mobile radio terminal (1). A specific registration profile is provided depending on the location by selecting a registration profile from a set of registration profiles that are stored in a central server for enabling an access of the terminal to a wireless local area network (3) realized or accessible at a determined location. The provided profile is utilized during realization of the terminal access to the network, where the network conforms to an institute of electrical and electronics engineers 802.16 standard.
