A method for decoloring sulfuric acid containing organic reactives by which it is possible to obtain a crystalline sulfuric acid by adding controlled amounts of potassium chloride and hydrogen peroxide in a controlled environment, which provides a great oxidising potential and through which it is possible to obtain a sulfuric acid having a color index of less that 30 APHA unities, the method comprising: Feeding the concentrated sulphuric acid containing organic reactives to a reactor and heating the same at a temperature of from about 40°C to about 60°C; adding potassium chloride in a ratio of from about 10 g to about 50 g per ton of acid ; agitating the sulphuric acid mixed together with the potassium chloride so as to promote the potassium chloride dissolution; adding 50% of hydrogen peroxide in a ratio of from about 25 ml to about 80 ml per ton of acid; agitating the acid including potassium chloride and hydrogen peroxide for favouring a quick dispersion of the hydrogen peroxide; a nd leaving the acid to rest for enough time until the sulphuric acid has a color index of less than 30 APHA unities.
