COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND E-MAIL CHECK METHOD

A communication system and an E-mail checking method are provided to distinguish the new receiving mail according to the discrimination of display contents. An acquisition unit(3) accesses a mail server(2) periodically and acquires the total number of mails at each access. A judgement unit(4) compares the total number of acquired mails with the total number of mails acquired at previous access, and judges the existence of new arrived mail and the receipt of the mail from the mail server at the another communication device on the basis of the compared result. The judgement unit confirms no new arrived mail in case of judging the total number of acquired mails equal to the total number of mails acquired at previous access. The judgement unit confirms the new arrived mail in case of judging the total number of acquired mails larger than the total number of mails acquired at previous access. In case the total number of acquired mails is less than the total number of mails acquired at previous access, the judgement unit judges the total number of acquired mails equal to zero.
