PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus, an image processing method and a program for indicating whether the subject faces an imaging means or not.

SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus comprises a sight line detection part for detecting a sight line of a subject facing the imaging means from an image including one or more subjects captured by the imaging means, and a sight line indicating part for indicating whether a sight line facing the imaging means is detected or not according to the sight line detection results of the sight line detection part.
