<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soft magnetic powder capable of producing a powder magnetic core having excellent corrosion resistance over a long period and having reduced core loss, to provide a powder magnetic core produced using the soft magnetic powder and having excellent corrosion resistance, and to provide a magnetic element provided with the powder magnetic core. <P>SOLUTION: A choke coil 10 comprises: a toroidal-shaped powder magnetic core 11; and a conducting wire 12 wound around the powder magnetic core 11. The powder magnetic core 11 is obtained by mixing soft magnetic powder and a binder, and subjecting the same to press molding. The soft magnetic powder used for the powder magnetic core 11 comprises Fe, Si and Cr and satisfies all of the respective conditions: (a) where Fe is used as the main component; (b) where the content of Si is 1 to 8%; (c) where the content of Cr is >8 to 13%; (d) where production is performed by an atomizing process; (e) where the average grain size is 5 to 30 μm; and (f) where tap density is ≥3.5 g/cm<SP>3</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
