<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biodegradation absorbable vertebral arch expanding pin, completely eliminating troublesome work for fastening with a thread and bending work, and simply fitted without the risk of shifting and slip-off between right and left spinous projection bodies which are longitudinally divided and opened. <P>SOLUTION: This vertebral arch expanding pin P1 is formed of biodegradation absorbable polymer, and constructed so that right and left flange parts 2 are provided at both ends 2 of the pin body 1 in the direction of a center line CL1, the respective flange parts are provided with a projecting shaft part 3 projecting outward along the direction of the axis, and a slip-out preventing part such as an annular hook stepped part 3a is provided on the outer periphery of the projecting shaft part. The vertebral arch expanding pin P1 can be installed between the right and left spinous projection half bodies without slip-off without complicated work such as fastening work using a thread only by inserting the projecting shaft part 3 in holes bored in the right and left spinous projection half bodies longitudinally divided and opened, and the inside surfaces (the longitudinally dividing surfaces) of the spinous projection half bodies are supported from inside by the outer end faces of the flange parts 2, whereby the vertebral arch is expanded to keep the vertebral foramen in an expanded state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
