<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation driving device capable of rapidly controlling drive so that a rotating body may rotate at aimed speed by promptly obtaining the rotating position of the rotating body, and to provide an image forming apparatus and a process cartridge. <P>SOLUTION: A control part recognizes the rotating position of a photoreceptor when the drive of a process driving motor is stopped from a result obtained by detecting a reference mark by a position sensor. Next, the control part predicts the rotating position of the photoreceptor when the speed of the photoreceptor attains the aimed speed based on the recognized rotating position of the photoreceptor when the drive of the process driving motor is stopped, time t3 that is rotational angle obtaining information, and a detected speed variation pattern. Then, the control part starts drive control before the position sensor detects the reference mark after the speed of the photoreceptor attains the predetermined speed based on the predicted rotating position of the photoreceptor when the speed of the photoreceptor attains the predetermined speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
