DOCUMENT SUMMARIZATION DEVICE, METHOD THEREFOR AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document summarization device allowing generation of a low-redundancy informable summary document by capturing a flow of a statement of a sentence from sentence structure analysis, and extracting a "phrase" as a smaller level than a "sentence".

SOLUTION: This document summarization device comprises: a connection relation creation means 211 creating linear connection relation of a semantic paragraph of an input article; a sentence configuration re-editing means 21 simplifying the linear connection relation in a state that a flow of the semantic paragraph is maintained; a phrase evaluation means 311 evaluating the phrase by a statement form from the semantic paragraph performed with sentence configuration re-editing; a phrase weighting extraction means 312 weighting the evaluation of the phrase by the statement form, and extracting the phrase; and a term supplement means 32 performing supplement of a term to the summary sentence composed of the extracted phrase.
