PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrahigh pressure sintered body having high joining strength with a backing plate. SOLUTION: This brazing cBN tool 1 joins the backing plate 4 joined to a lower surface of a cBN sintered body 5 having a cutting edge to a prescribed position of cemented carbide base metal 2 by brazing 7. The cBN sintered body 5 side of the backing plate 4 is made of cemented carbide in which WC particles having radii of curvature≥0.1μm in corner parts connect WC particles including≥50 area% of all WC particles by iron group metal 12-30 area%. A brazing material 7 side of the backing plate 4 is made of cemented carbide in which WC particles having radii of curvature≥0.1μm in corner parts connect WC particles having≤20 area% of all WC particles by iron group metal 8-30 area%.
